There is no flat rate — cost depends on the tree's size, its location on the property, how accessible it is for equipment, and its condition. A large hardwood leaning over a house costs considerably more to remove than a small tree in an open yard, because it takes more rigging, more time, and more crew. We give you a firm, itemized price during a free on-site estimate before any work is scheduled, and that price is what you pay — no surprise charges at the end.
It depends on your municipality. Many Bucks and Montgomery County townships and boroughs have no permit requirement for removing a tree on private residential property, but some regulate trees in riparian buffers, on steep slopes, in historic districts, or above a certain trunk diameter. HOAs frequently have their own rules on top of that. Check with your township or borough office before scheduling, and we'll work around whatever your municipality requires.
Yes. Removals near structures are a large share of our work — we section trees down in controlled pieces and rig limbs so nothing drops uncontrolled onto a roof, fence, or landscaping. For trees that are too large or too tight to take down by hand, we use crane-assisted removal. Lines owned by the utility running to the street are the utility's responsibility; we'll tell you when a call to them needs to come first.
Cleanup and debris haul-away are always included — your yard is left clean, not covered in brush. Stump grinding is a separate service, because not everyone wants it. If you do want the stump gone, we can grind it below grade at the same visit; just say so when you get your estimate and we'll price both together.
