We walk your property and evaluate each tree's health, structure, and any limbs that are dead, damaged, crossing, or creating a risk — before recommending a single cut.
You get a clear explanation of what we recommend removing and why — no guessing, no unnecessary cutting, no upsell. Just an honest plan that serves the tree and your property.
Our crew makes precise, clean cuts using proper technique — encouraging healthy regrowth, preserving the tree's natural shape, and leaving it structurally sound for years to come.
All cut limbs and brush are cleared from your property. We leave your yard clean and your trees looking better than when we arrived — no debris, no mess left behind.

For most species in this region, late winter through early spring — while the tree is still dormant — is ideal. The structure is visible without leaves, cuts heal quickly as growth resumes, and disease and insect pressure is at its lowest. Oaks in particular should be pruned in the dormant season to reduce oak wilt risk. That said, dead, broken, or actively hazardous limbs should be removed whenever you notice them, regardless of season.
Trimming generally means cutting back overgrown or hazardous branches to control shape, clearance, and safety. Pruning is the more selective practice: removing specific limbs to improve the tree's long-term health, structure, and form. In practice most jobs involve both, and we assess each tree individually rather than applying a single approach to everything on the property.
Topping — cutting a tree's crown flush or hacking off large portions of its canopy — removes the foliage the tree depends on for energy and leaves large wounds that decay before they can close. The tree responds with a burst of weakly attached water sprouts that are far more likely to fail in a storm than the limbs that were removed. A topped tree is more hazardous, not less, and it never recovers its natural form. We don't do it, on any tree, for any price.
Most mature shade trees benefit from a look every three to five years; younger trees benefit from more frequent structural pruning while their form is still being established. Trees over a house, a driveway, or a play area are worth inspecting more often, since the consequences of a failed limb are higher. We'll tell you honestly if a tree doesn't need work yet.
